Day 1: Arrive in Beijing
After arriving at Beijing, you’ll be picked up at the airport and then transferred to the Beijing Marriott Hotel City Wall. The rest of the day is free for you to adjust jet lag or explore the city.
Day 2: Beijing
Firstly visit the Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. In the afternoon, we’ll head for the picturesque Summer Palace. Enjoy the fascinating Kungfu show at the Red Theater in the evening. (Breakfast + Lunch)
Day 3: Beijing
In the morning, you’ll be guided to Ming Tombs. After lunch, visit the world famous Mutianyu Great Wall. (Breakfast + Lunch)
Day 4: Beijing – Datong
Experience the traditional life of old Beijngers in the Hutongs. After enjoying lunch, pay a visit to Temple of Heaven firstly and then transfer to the railway station and take soft sleeper train to Datong. Upon arrival, be met at railway station and transferred to Hongan International Hotel, Datong. (Breakfast + Lunch)
Day 5: Datong
Visit the Hanging Temple in Mt. Heng and Wooden Pagoda in Yingxian County. (Breakfast + Lunch)
Day 6: Datong – Taiyuan
Your tour in Datong includes Yungang Grottoes, Huayuan Monastery, Nine-Dragon Screen and Shanhua Monastery. Then take soft sleeper train to Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi Province where you’ll be transferred to Shanxi Grand Hotel, Taiyuan. (Breakfast + Lunch)
Day 7: Taiyuan – Pingyao
Firstly drive to Pingyao and then enjoy the Pingyao Ancient City, Rishengchang Draft Bank, Ming and Qing Street and other tourist spots in the city. (Breakfast + Lunch)
Day 8: Pingyao – Taiyuan
Pay a visit to the world renowned Qiao Family Courtyard and Shuanglin Monastery in the morning. Tour the Jinci Temple on the way back to Taiyuan. Finally see off at the airport. (Breakfast + Lunch)
